We have some exciting news at Ruby And The Angel! With spring and summer just around the corner, we should all be starting to think about the new footwear for this year, but don’t worry Ruby And The Angel have the perfect new shoes on their way that will be perfect for summer!
Very soon we are going to be stocking Gumbies, which by some are considered to be the perfect flip-flop and for every pair they make, about eight bottles are recycled and since the launch of the outback slipper in 2017, Gumbies Has helped to recycle about 500,000 bottles. Fantastic! The soles are made from recycled rubber, the straps are made from salvaged cotton and they have a 100% cotton
insole. What more could you want?
When they started making these shoes, prototypes were made using old tyres but realising that car tyres too crude and not commercially viable they set about exploring the use of recycled Rubber instead. Bonding it with jute for strength and sandwiching an EVA midsole for comfort, topping it with canvas for more natural touch to the skin. Finishing off with vibrant, but contemporary colours, each one tells a story – a blank canvas to express their beliefs and unique view of the world. Gumbies are now enjoyed globally, celebrating the outdoors, freedom, fun and functionality. Very soon you will be able to see for yourself how great these shoes are.

The Corker features a real Cork top layer which has many attributes: warm in winter, calling summer, breathable, anti – microbial, durable, water resistant and super comfortable. Using the same outsole make up as the Islander with jute for strength. A recycled cotton canvas strap and super soft cotton toe post for a non-chafing flip-flop experience. A must for any beach, bar or bike in the hills.
